Senior Forward Scott Benson went to the Free Throw Line with 1 second left with his team, "The Victors" of Perryville Christian School, trailing "The Saints" of Dunsmore Christian School, 72-71 for a "One and One" Foul Shot. Students from both schools were yelling and cheering at the top of their voices as Benson bounced the ball before taking the first shot. Just as he appeared ready to shoot, Dunsmore called its last time out. Stepping back to the line moments later with the crowds still producing high decibel noise, Benson hit the first free throw to tie the game. Tension mounted even further, as he eyed the basket and let his second shot go.
